incidentally, if you replace the hello kitty chars with fuzzy foxes and frogs, you get starfox adventures! :icon14:

I think the storyline is too deep to be compared with starfox, this isnt just any game, its this game that every respectful gamer has been waiting for their entire lives

That sounds like sarcasm... are you saying there's some places around the world that has no kids? :dork:

No, I'm saying many adults own Gamecubes. Its simply another platform and I fail to see the reason for the constant pissing contests on which is better.

But he's not pissing on it he's saying it has a lot of games geared for kids. Which they do. In fact Nintendo even says it. So what's the problem?

Don't think Zimbo's comment was very serious.

At least, it shouldn't have been. Sometimes I do get the idea that I am the only one on this forum that doesn't take my own Nintendo fanboy-ism all too serious.

There isn't a "problem" persay. It was a comment on the common misconception that those are the only type of titles Nintendo offers.

Well to be honest it's true. I own a gamecube and there are no decent titles out there that are exclusive to Nintendo that aren't oriented for children. Name me 10.

They have degrees perhaps like Metroid Prime say but I wouldn't classify that a game that's 18+. None of them really expect maybe Perfect Dark which I haven't seen yet but heard it's good. Otherwise the games are pretty stale, mildly entertaining like Monkey Ball 1, I didn't care much for 2. The only games I play on it now are Chaos Theory and Metroid Echoes. Only reason I even bought a Gamecube was to play Metroid. I see no other use for the system it's any wonder Nintendo does so poorly.

There's a difference between games not being aimed at kids and games being 18+

Games like Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil (remake) and Resident Evil 4 (incidently all three of 'em GameCube exclusives) are 18+ I guess. A game like Metroid Prime (especially Echoes) may not be rated 18+ or even 16+, it's still not a game that's aimed at children. Same goes for a game like Ikaruga or Serious Sam (though Serious Sam tilts a bit more to those "18+" games than the others mentioned).

Also, what's wrong with games that don't have blood, violence, bad language, sex and drugs in them? Not every game has to be like GTA. Games like Pikmin and Monkey Ball are masterpieces. They offer me a whole lot more fun than a run-of-the-mill FPS game like HALO.

Edit:
Another funny thing is that people have never complained about Wipeout being childish but they do complain about F-Zero being childish while in essence, they're both identical games. It's just one example of the hypocricy surrounding those who are "anti nintendo".

Actualy F-Zero and Wipeout are prime examples of why Nintendo is geared for kids. In F-Zero... and mind you this is being real loose with the definition of storyline, the storyline is very childish with childish cartoon characters with the bright colours and colourful animations are just geared for entertaining kids.

While wipeout has some decent music and more modern animation and a more grown up feel to it.

I'm not cross referencing an index of games but there are many more than that. Mario and Zelda games are just a start. Metroid 1&2, F-zero, FF: Crystal Chronicles, Baten Kaitos, and Tales of Symphonia are a few more right of the top of my head. As Eraser said, just because a game doesn't have gore doesn't make it a "kids game".
