That segment is mostly selevtive editing. The folks who answer the questions correctly wouldn't be 'entertaining.'
Not that we don't have more than our fair share of uneducated people with high school diplomas.

Just think, it goes out world wide too.
You think that's bad, Canadians have a regular TV show that mocks americans in a similar fashion, title 'Rick Mercer Talks to Americans'
He got a US Senator to 'Congratulate' Canada on finally implementing the 24 hour clock, instead of our 'outdated' 23 hour clock. Fucking GOLD.
Then he had numerous dumb asses congratulate Canadians on finally legalizing penicillin and insulin.
About ten people didn't know Canada had coast lines and felt the US should be more generous and let Canada dock its military boats at American naval bases.
*edited to calm the typo fags.

Todays lesson in Ebonics:
'Congradulate'
-noun To commend or applaud.
i.e. "I'd like to congradulate you on gettin yous GED."
or "Congradulations on pimpin yo first hoe".
Tune in tomorrow for the word "Phat".

you shouldnt believe everything you see on tv. i've seen him do the show. a bunch of my friends got interviewed by him, and we were waiting to see it on tv, but they never showed them because they answered the questions correctly.
he was on my campus for about an hour filming content, but that was cut down to about 5 minutes for TV, and most of the people who ended up being quoted, acted stupid on purpose to get on TV.

Well, hew does go out and interview a shitload of people, and then pick the stupidest answers to lump into a 10-minute bit. There's hardly anything to be said about the american population from the show, but regardless, I do think much of america is rather stupid...

Somehow the actors and actresses in the film can hear them and they appreciate the boost in confidence when the audiences clap or yell.

why are people saying things when they're at home watching a soccer game on the TV? it does no good. i know this isnt the exact same thing but a lot of times its just to show appreciation and shit...it lets your feelings out.
most of the time people only clap after the end of the movie or if its the premiere of a big movie and theres a huge following. a lot of people enjoy watching the premiere like that--its more of an "experience" and its funner for them. generally you have dedicated followers who dont talk randomly during the movie...they just clap and laugh at the same places you do.

The best one was Mercer getting all those American politicians, including GeeDubya to voice their opinions on Dubya being endorsed by Candian Prime Minister Jean
Poutine.
I nearly fell out of my chair.

I didn't realize you guys got "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" down in redneckville.
Or is it just the "Talking To Americans" sketch on some comedy show?
