Anybody else find the new City & Guilds advert rather disturbing?
It's like something out of "Society"...

No, but the "this is my moto movie" thing is really starting to grate my cheese.

the ones that annoy me the most are where they have some personal animal or surreal fluffy companion. in the same league as the c&g ad.
like that soup ad where a pair of blue furry arms leap out of the ground like something out of a horror movie and wrap around some poor bitches neck - then the ad explains that the blue furry arms are 'a hug'. or the one where some guy has a giant hairy spider living under his hat.
they're the end result of market research - where some spreadsheet-shuffling arsehole has thrown together the results of a few different studies on what people want, without any investigation into what will be produced. it's like the japanese putting a crucified santa outside shopping malls but there's no cultural excuse for it.

It does seem somewhat counter-productive.
It's like they're saying "Don't buy our cars. Only pretentious twats like this buy our cars".
