Call Of Duty: World At War

Any of you guys played it yet...?

I have to say, its not that bad. Seeing as how the dev really cant make a solid game, this ones pretty good, although I think its mostly down to COD4 being such a decent base. But anyway, I'm quite impressed. A lot of the little things are cool, like collecting cards that change the rules in coop games, stuff like that. Its not half bad. I'm only a few missions in, but its not better than COD4, but just as good really.

Anybody else play it? Impressions?

Also, I've having a problem loading the thing, screen goes black, takes an age to load... Meh... Every map takes about 4 mins before it starts to load... Anybody seen this? (PC Version).

If it is just as good as COD4 then I will be making the jump on this. COD4 is one of the best FPS games I have had the pleasure of playing.

It... surprisingly... and rather annoyingly becuase I love to hate on TA... IS quite good. :|

I would be enjoying it a lot more if it wasn't for the loading issues I'm getting. But everything is solid, and the MP is a straight copy of COD4's MP, just in WW2. The game seems a lot more detailed too.

That exactly what I think really. COD3 was COD2, and all the new stuff they added was shit. So far, WaW is COD4, and all the new stuff seems a bit odd, but not awful. 007:QoS was one of the worst games this year, and that was built from the ground up, using the COD4 engine. Again, everything THEY added was awful, but everything COD4 did was good.

I still think TA are fucking SHITE devs when it comes down to it, but this ones not half bad...

I just finished the second Soviet mission. Solo mode has been great so far, much better than CoD4's gay story.

I'll wait for the bargain bin on this one. I've got Cabela's big game hunter to play right now.

Fuck lads, you need to get this just for the Nazi Zombie MP mode... Its the best zombie shooter I've played in years. It beats the living fuck out of Left 4 Dead... Really, its that good...

For the solo story, they've put in some of the best bits from CoD2 and 4, namely "All Ghillied Up", "Death From Above", the Soviet campaign, and Normandy-like beach invasion.

cod 4 sp is better so far.

Nazi Zombies is alright, but doesn't touch l4d.

Maybe I'd like it more if i didnt have to drag dead weight around and be the hero all the goddamn time.

They've been flailing with the Bond games of late. Easy franchise to work with, one wonders if developers slack knowing it will sell either way.
