(cube doesnt offer digital. doesnt even offer pro logic2 out of the box, has to be forceprogrammed in by the devs)

No i'm not? I own the cube version, i completed it before it was even out in the UK, and it fucking OWNS.
Why would i care two shits about it being shite on PS2?
Have you seen Splinter Cell CT on PS2? now THAT is awful

Got the UK manual here, and not a mention of PS2 anywhere. Did they release a regional Dutchee version as well?

Doubt it.
Mistakes happen. Some worse than others. Ubisoft claimed on the box that Beyond Good & Evil supported English in-game while there's only Dutch and French to choose from. Wankers.
I guess in RE4's case someone just copy-pasted some generic text about sound and forgot to change PS2 to GameCube. Rather dumb mistake but it happends.

difference though - BG&E was english on every other platform but the cube. also, for a game that says "Only for GameCube", its a rather fucking big mistake

also, one might think they should replace cube with ps2 instead of the other way around
i tried to snap a pic last night but the paper is so glossy that i only get a bright white flash on it

when i tried to correct some of it in photoshop, my vidard crapped out and now i cant boot no more

no they don't. hardly any games (actually none that i know of console-wise) do Dolby Digital in real-time during gameplay. cut scenes however are a different story.
Dolby Prologic II is a godsend to developers because of the comparitively less processing power it takes to implement.

oops, i wasn't even thinking Xbox since i don't have one =) so i stand partially corrected since i don't know of ANY PS2 games that have DD in real-time. all mine are DPLII.
