I remember seeing a re-release of Return Of The Jedi. But that was around the same time I went to see Batman and Ghostbusters 2 (especially this one, I threw up chocolate milkshake in the back of my bros car and all on his mates missus).

Wizard of Oz, every day after school. used to constantly rewind the scene where the lion runs the length of that corridor before jumping out of the window, don't know why...

Magnum Force.
Dirty Harry kinda set the standard as far as my entertainment interests. Violence with a happy ending. Beautiful man.
