Do any of you do any gardening? I just ate an organic radish that I grew. I'm growing 3 varieties of heirloom tomato too.

What are you growing?

Do you normally eat inorganic radishes?

Was it Kosher?

I plan to plant a garden as soon as we can get a fence. Between all the deer, rabbits and everything else in my area, it won't be worth the time until I can keep them out of it.

I can't wait to grow some tomatoes - my mother has always grown them, and homegrown tomatoes are the shit.

I enjoy eating organic food.
All the inorganic stuff I eat is just so hard to digest.

I have a deck garden but I'm growing roses, morning glories, snap dragons and I have a walking stick tree this season. We have alot of fresh produce stands near me so I usually pick up vegetables/fruit from them.

If I redo the layout of my backyard I'm going to put a 10x20 plot for a garden - my wife wants to grow vegetables. I don't grow foods, but I am a complete junkie for yard work. My favorite thing to do in the summer.

Seems to be mostly dandelions on the lawn these days. I have some tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. Roses of different varieties, and other flowers in the front yard.

Lettuce, green peppers, mint, parsley, and cherry tomatoes so far.
Oh and a raspberry bush that fills up once in the summer and again in October.

We have a fairly large garden with everything from tomatoes to corn to cucumbers and a few others.

im growing strawberries. they are actually edible, too!

I was busy for the start of the planting season here, so I didn't bother putting many slow-growing plants like peppers, which sucks. This year in the garden I went for lettuce, red cabbage, peas, butternut squash, zucchini, and eggplant. We also have some rhubarb each year. In herb pots I've got parsley, chive, strawberries, and basil.

I will most definatey do something with the back yard now that I have one lol.

problem is I always try not to do half ass work and I dread getting myself familiar enough on the subject before I grab a shovel

What kind of trees?

quite a few junipers i installed last year are still going.

i want to shape them into things but they need to be let alone for a year or two more prolly

i think i may still get some tomatoes yet tho

maybe some butter lettuce

also maybe doing some things with shrubs, lillacs and stuff like that

maybe some purple wave petunias too!

I'm just growing stuff on my back deck so trees and such are not really an option but I 'd love to be growing more. Hot peppers for sure as well as stuff that world is growing would be awesome. I didn't expect to have tomatoes growing so early but they're popping all over.

The climate in Sacramento is kind of harsh, so I have to pick assetive types. Mostly southern pines. I'm babying an orange tree right now. I figured citrus would be easy enough, but the first couple of years you have to give em a lot of attention. I didn't figure the air quality to be a huge factor in gardening/forestry, but I've had many failures. Even with plants that you'd figure would thrive here. Soil's good, and I shade em when they look like they're burning, it has to be the air. So, trees it is. Oddly enough, my roses do great...very little searing from the sun. They're a bit poor right now cause they haven't been tended in a couple of weeks. Gonna prune big time. I'll post a pic when they come back. I'm not a fanatic, I go for the more natural look. I give em plenty of freedom.
