Now, though, it appears Thompson's crusade against games may be coming to an end--in the legal arena, anyway. A Kotaku correspondent on the scene reports that today, the Florida Bar requested in court that Thompson be given an "enhanced disbarment." According to 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida spokesperson Eunice Sigler, the measure--if imposed--would prohibit Thompson from practicing law in the state of Florida for the next 10 years.

I don't know if any of you have seen it - it happened several times in broadcast interviews - the man actually cries on-camera when asked why he does what he does with such vigor and stupidity. Jack Thompson is - simply put - on a crusade against ANYTHING that he perceives might corrupt his son....without even asking his son what he thinks.

The man is literally taking the power of the Bar to "make a better world for my kid" (with no attention paid to the actual laws...just his disagreement with society in general). He wants to make a "better" world that HE thinks is running rampant with 14 year-old drivebys, car-jackings and schoolyard bullies.

His (possible) disbarment couldn't happen to a bigger cunt.
