Everyone will go completely bonkers over this when a release date is going to be announced. But once everyone's played it, everyone's going to be disappointed.
Kinda like Doom 3, with 10 years added devtime.

I do feel like they have this impossible mission here. I mean the games going to be shit, no matter how "good" it is, simply because people will always say "yeah, but its taken 12 years for this?".
Face it people, as long as the one liners are there, as long as you can give money to strippers to see some titties, and as long as the stupid over the top violence is there like blood overload, explosions and shrink rays... Its Duke.
Anything more, it wont be Duke. Anything less, it wont be Duke.
Anybody expecting more is, quite frankly, a dolt, and you deserve to be fucked over.
At least when Doom 3 came out, people could be pissed... It just wasn't Doom. But Duke...? I doubt they can mess him up so easily...
Well... I hope not anyway...

regardless of how long this has been in the works, how anticipated it is, latta datta da... they could have shortened the 5 minute video down to about 12 seconds.

It's not been in constant development for 10 years though; it was a back-burner project and they're only working on it when they have nothing else to do.
Though it still is a stupidly long time.
