Stupid although specific question 'bout GTKRadiant 1.2.1

First of all: don't kill me for SUCH a stupid primitive basic question, I myself haven't been able to find that in the Faqs I'm using for that old 1.2.1 version of GTK Radiant (editing Quake3). Does anyone still have the command in mind to select a certain area on a normal brush, for example changing the texture of a 4x4 area on an 8x8 brush? (without having a new very thin brush created in front of it and texturing that one of course). Why? Because there are several brushes used in my map connecting two rooms which need their own textures and I don't want to split all the brushes yet due to reasons of overview and logical building. So I need to know how to texture ONE side of a brush [8x8] (selected with shift+crt) with TWO different textures [each 4x4] without splitting the original brush [has to remain 8x8].

PS: :owned:

You can't use 2 textures on the same brush side.

You can remake the texture in photoshop or create an alpha channel to mask with.

I don't understand why you don't want to split you brushes, That's how you build and texture maps in radiant.

Poor me, was just hoping to have a bit less work and as said for [ominous] reasons of overview and logical building... nevermind. :tard: Photoshop, huh? Atm I 'm using another program which is by far easier to come by imho. And: it is completely for free (well, Photoshop's for free too at least that one special version :D but it didn't convince me maybe someday I'll start using it, but not now *proud non-photoshop-user*).
