Yea, we should be impressed because these agencies are finally doing their jobs.
Probably nobody will read this story as "There have been 10,000 criminals wandering around the country who could have been caught at any time with an organized effort."
Of course I'm happy they've been caught, but they are trying to sell it as something to be praised. Besides, of the ones I read (I saw the story earlier today), only about 1/5 of them were any kind of threat to society to begin with. Maybe the rest were drug offenders? Who knows.
