i did a massive shit this morning and blocked the toilet

...and it's still blocked over 12 hours later. What's the best method of shifting it?
I've tried ramming the bowl with the toilet brush, repeated flushing and my housemate even stuck a hose down it and blew, attempting to dislodge, or at least blow a hole in the blockage, all to no avail.

Happened to me on Sunday, only that wasn't enough. The chain on the flapper decided to bunch up and not shut the water off. So 5 minutes later my wife is fuckin screaming at me, cause she knows she is cleaning it up. Plunger for the win.
