Burnout Paradise Question

Just got the best offline crash score on live for one of the streets - the crash before was 250,000 and I hit 1,134,000 in damage. Now it says my name up there when you drive onto that street and tells me beat the offline time to 'rule the road' - how do you challenge offline times (or online for that matter) on a road? Is there a specific thing you have to start like you do with showtime for crashing? Otherwise, how do you know what your time for the road is?

BTW - the crash record is at Lawrence Rd. in heartbreak hills if you want to go beat it (which someone who is actually good at this game probably will without much trouble). I just missed another bus that would have given me another multiplier.

I'm really enjoying the open road racing actually - puts a lot of suspense on the races when you take an alternate route and just barely manage to squeeze out the win in the last second after traveling across half the map.

Figured it out. Well for the moment I rule exactly one road in this game having the best time and showtime damage total.

Took some getting used to for me...you just roll up to intersections and activate the various races in single player...some of them are fun when they go all across the map. But online I haven't found many good races...mostly just people driving around not doing shit.

I'd forget about doing offline crashes and times and just do online. Unless you want a 100% complete game. I believe that counts towards the completion percentage.

You have to be in the lead, then do some challanges. Or just try and beat everybody's record.

the game helps you with the route; take note of the flashing streetsigns at the top.

its more nostalgic 'playing with hotwheels' than a racing game, imo.

I bought it too, a fiver you cant go wrong with.

Mirrors Edge is on there today for £3.49 too, but I never completed it on 360 and its still sat on the shelf :(

Be interested to see what other offers they have to close the week of sales down as I've spent not a lot on it this week but got quite a bit. Steam always have great sales.

DragonAge is supposed to be the deals of the day tomorrow. I'll be looking to grab the various bits of DLC.
