first games I got were assassins creed, mass effect and virtua tennis 3. which games do you all play online and which games do i need to buy?

i hang at a site full of super-leet gamers ! so i have it on good authority that cod4 would be something that may interest you!

well i've been playing it all today. smooth controls, very user friendly and immediate. i played it on xbox live for a few hours and finding a game was easy and netplay worked really well. started the single player career mode earlier, which seems promising too. it's just a lot of fun.

oh, definitely no FPS' please! i have cod4 for the PC and just cannot for the life of me play on a console FPS using a gamepad for longer than a minute without wanting to pull my hair out. i guess its a throwback from the q3 days where insane reaction times could only be got with the mouse and i just get frustrated otherwise. i will say they are slightly better using the 360 controller though.

Halo 1 is where it's at. The others are a joke imo.

I had fun with Dead Rising and Crackdown and, unlike pretty much everyone else, actually liked Lost Planet

Dead Rising's the best game on the console in my eyes, but my tastes aren't exactly mainstream.

You can save at any time, its just that you can only save from the couch in the security office. You can choose to start again from the beginning, if you do so, you start with boosted attributes.


how about PGR3 and 4 ?
I'm having a lot of fun with those.

But the game that I seem to play for about an hour a day is skate, I was a big fan of the Tony Hawk games, and Skate is about 10 billion times better.

Crackdown is the only non-FPS game I can think of that you haven't listed. Maybe Guitar Hero 2 or 3?

I wish I could have liked Crackdown like everyone else did.

Condemned Criminal Origins isn't a bad bargain bin game at all. Play it with full surround sound in the dark for full effect. Without surround I think it would lose a lot of the suspense.
