You'll likely want a better cooler for all that. The Thermaltake Ultra 120 Extreme + a Scythe S-Flex 120mm fan is meant to be a good combo for that CPU.
It outperforms the stock Intel HSF by 11'c despite being overclocked 1Ghz higher

				Built mine last Saturday.
Ultra X-Finity 600W
BFG nVidia nForce 680i LT SLI LGA775 with on-board Realtek HD Audio
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz LGA775
XFX 8800GT XT (Alpha Dog) 512MB 640MHz PCI-E
2GB OCZ Platinum XTC Rev-2 Dual-Channel
Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM 16MB cache SATA-II
Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM 16MB cache SATA-II
Just like you Frag, this is the first system I've been able to max out on games with. Runs Crysis on High at 1280x1024 with 45fps on average. I love the fact that the 8800GT runs HDR and AA perfectly together, makes CoD4 and DiRT look brilliant
I'm going to buy an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 for the E6750. Can easily be overclocked past 3GHz then.
Nice system Frag

Well I really love playing COD. Been playing COD4 on the 360, and it's just not the same thing.

Haha, nice spec, similar to same as mine but a better case and mobo (I'm assuming your RAM'll be faster too), I was going for the same board but couldn't justify the extra £60
Mine being:
CPU: Intel Q6600
Board: Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus
RAM: 4GB: 2x Corsair XMS6400 2GB DDR2 (2x1GB) 800Mhz Non-ECC
Gfx: GeForce 8800GTX (nVidia Reference card)
Case: ThermalTake Tsunami Dream - Black (I wanted the Shark but I can't find it anywhere)
PSU: ThermalTake Toughpower Series Cable Management 700W Active
Can't wait, might just chuck another 8800 in there in a few months too.

I'll probably wait a few months, then add another 2 gigs and just like you, another 8800.

Remember 32-bit OS only uses 3.25GB.

I'll be running Vista also, so it'll be all good. But I'll just be using XP for gaming?
Does XP have a hard drive limit size?

Not one you'll need to worry about as far as I'm aware, but if you've got 4 gig in there make sure you're running the 64-bit version or it won't see all of it.

I have a CPU in transit right now with UPS. Should be here tomorrow. I already have the other parts here waiting.
When finished:
AMD x2 6400+ Black Edition
Asus M2N-Sli deluxe
2 gigs of ddr 800 in dual channel
Geforce 8800 GTS 640meg ( carrying over from my current system )
And a pair of Western digitals 120gig from the old system. I need to upgrade these HDD's next.

I got two 80 gig sata drives and two 300 gig sata drives.
I think I'll put the 2 80's in as raid 0, and use it for the OS, programs and game installs.
Then use the two 300's as raid 1, and keep all my important files on them.

Oh snap, that case looks pretty damn awesome. Is this your first time with liquid cooling?

Yes, first time liquid cooling. I decided to have them put it together. For $50, they will warranty the system for a year against leakage.

Wow. Moving up from a single core 4000 to a dual 6400 makes a pretty big difference. My FPS in Crysis has doubled.
Going from ddr 400 to 800 didn't hurt much either I imagine.

I should see a pretty big gain from mine also. I'll install Q3 and do a time demo, then do the same for the new system.
The case is not available. But I picked out a different case instead. So I'm going with this
bad boy.
I like this one better because the ports are at the front. The other case, the ports were in the middle, under a pop up cover.
So if you stuck in a USB stick, you wouldn't be able to close the cover. Plus this one, the ports are flush mount, where the other one stuck out a bit.
Then I'm going with this
water cooler.

Just did a time demo in q3 running with WinXP Beast Edition, I got 199fps.
Ran the same test running Vista, and only got 154.
