I have had some limited exposure to music industry types... she is right on with her illustration of the massive injustice done to artists by the industry. It's long... if you skip through it, don't miss the numbers on the artist success rate. Any other industry would be bankrupt with those numbers. They stay in business by ripping off the artists.

Her husband's band obviously had albums that were in the 30.

I hate Courtney Love, and she's not really making any new points. That said, I like her stance, and I'm optimistic now that bands have means to cut, produce, and promote their music by themselves, I think we'll start seeing a reduction in contract-spawned shit. Then again, it's because of the record companies that many artists get to make the profits that they do. They make an investment because they have the money to throw around in the first place. Indie bands that expect to turn a profit on merch after self promotion and free music distribution will likely be disappointed.

i understand ur feelings towards courtney.

no doubt she makes ALOT of guys uncomfortable ey she can really crush alot of guys nuts.

shes smart and very very quick, alot of guys will-not/refuse-to cope in any reality'istic type way.
