grandmother was from england and has an english accent. grandfather was from ireland and has an irish accent. i sound like i have no accent.

My Grandfather is from Ireland and so is my grandmother.

On the other side of the family both Grandparents came from England.

I have no accent from either country and I have never been to either country.

But I do plan to go someday to see some relatives.

Yes sir, I'm a Yank, I do have to admit it, but I think the question was where did we come from? I personally was born in the US and proud of it. My family on the other hand came from elsewhere.

My Mothers Parents and my Fathers Parents somehow made it to San Diego California where my Mom and Dad met, got married and had me.

No, the question is why are Americans only American when they were saving our asses in WWII, but any other time they're one of us. If you wer eborn in America, and you live in America, then you're an American. You aren't 1/4 scottish because your grandads former room mate once ate a highland toffee.
