HL2 is a tough act to follow, no? I'd trust Valve before anyone else, but still, expansion packs usually suck compared to the real game...

The respawning zombies ruined HL2 for me :(

in Ravenholm? are you kidding? that was like the best part of the game. hurling saw blades at and crunching zombies with the car was lots of fun, in my opinion.

Bleh, I had more than enough of Alyx the first time around.

I hope they manage to finally get a nice streamlined feel in the expansion like with the original H/L. H/L2 felt like a collection of segments with minor threads of a story sewn in to keep it together.

And Ravenholme was, by far, H/L2's weakest part.

to each his own. i personally loved it (except for the stronger headcrabs and faster/more powerful zombies. the traps provided much entertainment. my favorite level would probably have to be the coastal area where you drive the buggy.

The best part about this -- it's being internally developed at Valve instead of some schmuck company.

Good philosophy in my opinion.

You mean a schmuck company like Splash Damage that did Enemy Territory?

Hell yeah. The buggy was fun as shit. I'd have to say that HL2 had the best use of vehicles I've seen in a game.

Are you kidding me? I've had power wheels control better than that buggy and boat.

I had absolutely no problems with it. I found the vehicles in UT2004 harder to control. Not that hard, but harder. What game have they been easier in that it's not the primary game style?
