I would guess so. They did the right thing by putting a beta out there! Give the people what they want and the game will sell!

Cutting edge? Please, it will more than fine on a medium system. Quake 4 engine is Doom 3. Doom 3 for all its floor has alot of ground breaking features that probably are only just being used to their full potential. Look how good hte Quake 3 engine looked 4 years on in CoD etc

Just because you think that anything based on the D3 engine will suck, doesnt mean it will. You are doing a O'dium when it comes to this and i think that you will be proved wrong when this hits soon!

I have a 3 year old rig running the ETQW beta with 8-24 players online on high quality settings (just no AA) and still getting very decent frames. It looks and plays awesome. Certainly multiplayer game of the year potential. Best MP game I've played in quite some time.

I've only played the 2 released beta maps and I haven't gotten bored of either map yet. It's hopelessly addictive.

We all know that riddla's been bitter at everything lately.

Judging by the replies, it seems riddla is spewing forth more bitterness for his anti-Quake crusade.
