All of the COX-2s are being pulled off the market here...but I think they are being re-released with increased warnings. Is it an issue where you are at too, or are they still being prescribed? Just wondering because a news program mentioned that they are still being used in various parts of the world.

hmmm.....with Vioxx it was something with increased heartproblems after 18 months of use, in patients who have heartproblems already. Valdecoxib possibly has the same side-effects.
Coxib (COX-2 inhibitors) medicines aren't just medicines you would use for such a long period. Maybe if you're a rheumatic patient with chronic pain.
There's still no hard evidence, and there should be more experiments to research the longterm effects.
If you would use paracetamol (acetaminophen) for 18 months or longer, I'm use you would develop some liverproblems. But it's safe to pull it off the market before all the lawsuits are pending.

I have a single vicodan (watson 385 on the pill). Any idea what sort of a dose that is?

385 would be a 7.5/500 - 7.5mg of hydro and 500 of acetaminophen.
