Ringtones, etc?

I'm not sure if this is an illegal topic or not - if so I fully expect it to get closed - but does anybody know some good sites to get ringtones, games, wallpapers and stuff for cellphones? Free ones?

I just got a new phone with internet access and all that jazz, so I'd like one that I can browse from my phone and download straight to it:

Mine's dark blue though.

I've already downloaded some ringers, but most of the ones I've found on http://www.3gforfree.com are rap and hip-hop that I don't really care much for.

Thanks for any tips. :icon32:

no, gprs is basically 115k speeds compared to gsm, which most use, which is roughly only 10k speeds.

transferring data from your pc to your phone and vice versa needs either:

1) a data cable
2) infrared (lol, i can't believe this is still around)
3) Bluetooth (which EVERY phone should have)

take any mp3 file, put it on your webspace, go there with your phone and download it.

it's free

it's the same with backgrounds and pictures

1) i'm pretty sure that phone doesn't support the .mp3 format

2) his webspace needs to be WAP supported.

3) AND, it's not free because he's downloading off the 'net with his phone which equals "slow" and for most plans "expensive".

still tons cheaper to do as i said in my previous post.

1. Doesn't all phones support mp3 (or "realtones") nowadays?

2. Eh, no. You need the exact URL, that's all (or just make a simple xhtml page).

3. You pay per kB, and it's not that expensive. Plus, data cables and Bluetooth dongles are usually pretty expensive.

well, i was working on a mobile games & ringtone page the other day, and i wanted to test it out so i ordered a game for my mobile. so i got this sms thingy telling me i had a download waiting. i clicked retrieve and it started whining about a gprs connection :S
i have no idea how that works. i also dont know if i can still download that thing now even if i do set it up correctly or if i have to pay for the download again :o

1) no

2) hm, ok. i believe you cuz i love ur mapz >:E

3) a one-time purchase of a data cable or a $30 USD Bluetooth dongle would pay for itself shortly with the rates they charge here in the U.S.

If you want a real laugh, read the small print of ringtone ads you see in magazines.
Especially that jamster one with that fucking frog and chick ringtone. £3 to sign up, £3 a week membership which will be deducted automatically until you text in stopping membership, each ringtone/wallpaper is £2, you consent to have texts of third parties sent to you, and all thats NOT including the calls of the texts you send all along!
Idiots that join this shit deserve to be ripped off.

Bluetooth is the way.

I personally don't have a ringtone, I prefer my phone to be silent so as to not annoy everyone.

My phone has mp3, but oddely, it can't have them as ringtones, I gotta cut my favourite piece from an mp3 and convert it to wav or amr.

Btw P2P has shitloads of games for cellphones.

There are three types of people who have mobiles:
1. Idiots.
2. Business men.
3. Drug Dealers.

I know which most you lot belong in.

My phone supports mp3 rings and just about every other kind of downloadable tone.

I surf the web on my phone quite a bit -- the plan I have includes unlimited internet access and unlimited downloads. The only time I have to pay for downloading is when I get it from the Sprint store, or somewhere else that charges per file.

If you go to http://www.3gforfree.com/ on your phone browser, you can dowload tons of ringers, games and wallpapers for your phone, all for completely free. If you go to it on a pc, you have to register an account and pay to download locally.

I'm going to get a data cable eventually, because I want to be able to transfer stuff from my pc as well, but I don't really need one at the moment.

Does anybody know of any other sites like this, where you can download stuff directly from your mobile for free?
