gtk radiant 5 3d window

hey all, after a long time away, I am returning to build maps.

I just installed radiant 5. had a bit of trouble with textures showing up, downloaded the gamepack and that fixed everything up but I am having a problem with the 3d window.

as I move through the window, it's gray until I get close to something, then the images come into view. seems like I had this trouble before but cannot find any thread explaining a fix. It's like a gray wall that moves in front of me until I get close to something.

any ideas?

seems like it might have been a gl setting but I don't see this sort of setting in gtk5.

thanks

Cubic clipping toggle? (Under "view" in 1.4)

Basically doesn't draw stuff far away in camera view...

ctrl+\ is the hotkey toggle for it, lots of people hit it by mistake when going for undo.

yeah, it's good to be back. I've been in grad school for 5 of the last 6 years getting 2 degrees.....bleh.

anyhow, i'm back and I am going to finally finish the first map I started 7 years ago. i need to get it out and completed. "like a splinter in my mind, driving me mad."

thanks for the info, yeah, I remember the clipping thing now. I was using gtk5 for a bit, then it began crashing, so, I going to back to 1.4.

i'll be around.
