Actually, I just tried your solution and it misses a bunch of ads. I suppose I could edit the css and put in some manual entries, but that's a pain in the ass. Plus, adblock actually keeps the ads from even downloading, not just from displaying. Saves bandwidth and time. I'll be going back to my "n00b" extension now.

with sigs I usually just block the offending files no wildcards (*). If something appears that I don't want to see instead of whining about it I adblock it. much easier IMO
