Sorry if this discussion has been had before, but does anyone know who is in the running to play Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell movies? I did some searches and didn't come up with anything conclusive...so I don't know if the decision has even been made yet.

They are making a movie? Well it better kick ass like the games do. I think Michael Ironside could pull it off, after all he has done the voices of Same Fisher, just a question of making him younger and the training.
Like Sam Fisher it must be an older, wise and experienced actor, not some young gun.

One site mentioned Tom Jane (Punisher)...or mark wahlberg...but he's a bit short IMHO.

They need a Canadian. Hey, that guy out of Due South's free, isn't he?
Edit: apparently, Fisher's only supposed to be 5'10". They could get Kracus, as long as they put lifts in his shoes.

Kracus would be much better in the 24 series.

Both fine ideas but kracus has already been booked to star in 'Dumb, Dumberer and the Dumbest Damn Motherfuck You Will Ever Meet'.

Have you noticed that all the characters in Splinter Cell say "aboot"? Very South Park.
BTW Jackal, this latest one's pretty damn easy (especially compared to, say, Thief), so you should give it a try even if you're not good at these sort of games.

Yeah, a friend of mine picked it up the other day so as soon as I finish with the tsunami of papers I have to write I'm sure we'll get down to some gaming.

Yep, for once I'd agree. It was probably testo anyway.

Games are the new hollywood. Soon you'll never see "movies" as standalone, it'll all be games first, movies after.

Cloony could pull it off right if he got the voice right
