Moved into our new house this weekend

Despite the 4 inches of snow topped with 2 inches of ice on Saturday which postponed our move one day... Our move was quick and painless. Everyone arrived at 9 for coffee and donuts and we were done and eating Pizza and beer by 1pm. I highly recommend backing the moving truck up to your front door if possible, with 6" of ice and snow down we had no problem.

My new neighbors are pretty awesome. As I was shoveling my one neighbor comes by with his snowblower and cuts out my front walk and huge driveway. My wife was out front shoveling out where the plow blocked us in and another neighbor pulled up in a plow beeped and took all the snow away. :icon32:

I find it odd living in a community where everyone is so friendly, I've lived in the last place for 7 years and don't know or speak to any of my neighbors. This new place people on the street stop as they drive by to introduce themselves. It seems like a great community well worth going above our original house budget.

I cannot get over how different it is...

Give it 6 months and you'll be invited to an orgy feast or quiz night.

Neighbor: Wonderful day, eh?
You: Fucking terrible. Snowshit everything.
Neighbor: I totally agree. How are the kids?
You: Nightmares.
Neighbor: That's good the hear. You gonna watch the big game?
You: Fuck you!
Neighbor: Me too! It's gonna be a close one.

I can see that happening, but at least I'm not dealing with, assholes blocking my driveway, or tossing eggs at my car because I parked on the public owned street in front of their house.

If I have to be friendly for 10 minutes because some nice guy took the time to clear my walk and driveway for me it's worth it.

I do however draw the line at the wife swapping :icon27:

Congrats GH and don't hesitate to kick your neighbours' asses if they turn out to be dickwads :icon14:
