it's not out yet...but tempest is going to be released in a week or so. tempest is fucking ownage.
oh, avoid joust. i got it for free with my xbl package thing and it's a complete POS. i dont understand how this game was ever considered good.

Geometry Wars. Cloning Clyde (:icon32:), Doom, Street Fighter if youre a fan otherwise dont bother.
to avoid, pacman, frogger, defender. they offer nothing new, sound is horrid. not worth the dough

Do I beleive you? Nope. I'm guessing to get a score of a million on Geometry Wars would take me a day or two and a lot more than 14-15 goes.

I enjoy Geometry Wars every once in a while, but it's too hard for me to play any other way than casually.
The original 1989 arcade version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out a few days ago. I had fun with that one (but it's really short and you have no way to lose). It was good for a blast from the past.
I also bought Assault Heroes. It's pretty challenging and for the price, I'd say it was worth it. All 3 offer trial versions, so check them out at the least.

As far as XBLA games go. Um, TMNT is fun, Heavy Barrel is fun, Geo wars, that marble game, Hexic HD.
Honeslty DL all the trials and give em a go.

yea how in the fuck did you do that? I have survived without dying to 250,000 or 300,000 or thereabouts, but the game just gets fucking ridiculous with the screen being completely covered in shit.
Do you do anything specific with the black hole things to get maximum points out of them when you kill them or just shoot them as soon as they show up?
