Quake3World

ok ive been reading up on this installing q3 on the mac and the only way ive gotten q3 to run is using the icculus.org download and i can get q3 to run and i install pb but when i go to a pb enabled server it says that i dont have q3 installed.

what am i doing wrong?

i also try to install the latest q3 update and when i go to run it i just opens microsoft word.

post up your system, and os!! otherwise, hard to know whats going on

do you have a legit purchased version?
if so, next step is to grab the g4 patch from here:

i do all that but when i go to install the 32-altivectest2.pkg.sit it just opens microsoft word

and it is a legit copy

ok so i do all that now when i open the folder it has 3 new folders mac, win, linux, there is no quake3 folder in my applications, and there no baseq3 folder either
