that hbo movie about rawanda... yeah, not a feel good sort of movie.
just watched it, makes you feel pretty shit about all humanity.
they do a good job of having "characters" that you can follow through the tragety, but at the same time its really not about them. or about how they survived, which is where it does a much better job than any of the hollocaust movies i've seen.
you really get the feeling that the film is about everyone.
and amazingly, its very powerful and emotional without being violent.
highly recomended...
i'm going to have to check out hotel rawanda to see how it compares.
i have a felling though that will be more of a 'hollywood holocaust style' movie, where they show one guy's struggle, rather than trying to show 'the big picture'
