God of War

Have any of you tried this? I stopped following console games a couple of years ago so I didn't even start looking at this game until a couple of weeks ago.
IGN gave the game a rating in the very high 9s, and I almost always trust them.
But have any of you played yet?

i've played the demo. it's one complete level. probably take game of the year in that genre, it's that good. a bit like soul reaver and prince of persia in one - and that's not so bad.

Thanks. Looks pretty interesting. :icon14: Just recently got a PS2 and need some games. This will probably be one of them.

Went to rent it tonight, all out...
Grabbed Scrapworld instead...
Thank god...something else to play besides Brothers in Arms...heh.

Let us know how Scrapworld turns out. May be interested in getting that one too. I liked Alice, so would probably like that one too.

So far its not bad...the only complaint I have is that you can't skip through the dialogue even though there are subtitles...I'm an impatient SOB.

There should always be a way to skip the cutscenes or dialogue especially in replay if there is any.

from the demo, i had no problems with the "camera" at all. the mini-bosses and boss are quite impressive (make sure you turn this up on your Dolby Prologic II system if you have one, and go 480p if your TV supports it). you can get some pretty sick combos. i guess some website was having a competition and some nerd got a +800 hit combo?!!? i could only muster <50.
