I picked it up two days ago, it's not too bad. A bit of a D3 clone though.

And that's the Quake 3 model of the Gladiator so it's not even Q4.
Anyway, there were a bunch of Quake IV screenshots in PC Gamer or some magazine like that a while ago. It's most definitely still in development
