Why are there no internet servers?

I play QuakeIII at school and i can get online, thats great. But i cannot at home. I am playing quake off my laptop which has wireless internet and playing online, nobody seems to be there.
Why?

Please take the time to read the sticky's above before posting and you will save yourself a lot of flack from the other members of this forum who took a long time in helping build those threads.

That still doesnt help me. i have xfire but i still cant find any other internet games. :icon23:
When im at skool we create lans but when im at home i got no bros or sisters that can play. so i wanna play on the internet but i cant.
Whats Happening?

ive never used xfire before so i cant help , are you sure its config'ed correctly?
maybe try one of the other browsers?
i'd always used ASE and never had any probs

Thats the only solution i have. Find another browser if the in-game browser doesnt work.
