I have a client with a computer that wont shut down.

When you go through the motions, start, shutdown, it does the usual stuff saying windows is shutting down etc.

Then when it usually shuts down, it makes a click and reboots.

I'm a bit stumped at this point. Assume its a motherboard thing. Checked the bios, but cant find anything obvious to change in there.

Any suggestions...............??

cable modem direct to computer? disconnect network cable or turn off Wake on Lan or Wake on RF in bios and try.
