Are these things safe? I know they only emit UV-A, but isn't any UV light bad for your eyes?

i'm old now so that shit would prolly hurt my eyes. i would think it might not be good cuz you keep your eyes open wide as hell and you kinda strain to see.

What do you plan on doing with it. Not an eye expert, but I'd guess in moderation you probably don't have to worry. As for skin, etc., again, probably not much to worry about unless you plan on replacing all the lights in your house with them and staying inside for years.

It probably wouldn't be a good thing to stare at them or keep them near you for too long. AFAIK they're a regular UV light with a special coating that filters out the harmful rays. I'd suspect if the filtering material is not working well in places, you could get harmful UV emissions from it.

I've got some of those. I'm using them in an attempt to make a small group of Goths germinate.

BTW you don't need a cage for goths, you just need to convince them that they're in their own bedroom and they'll never leave.
