Back in the day I used two (or 3) newsgroups which helped tremendously with finding software. If you're interested, I could PM you.

Saturn: Come across http://www.medicalpocketpc.com/ ?

I don't think you can backup you PDA when your away from your main PC.
I got a 256MB SD card where I'll keep my stuff on.
Would like to find out how to put certain files on there like the contacts etc.

I had a Dell Axim but sent it back and got a laptop instead.
Had a hard time seeing the thing in the sun no matter what the setting.
On this one it has an outdoor setting but was still hard to read until I set the brightness all the way up.

I got an Asus with a backup program, it's set to autobackup the whole ROM and RAM on my CF card when it reaches 10 percent batterlife, easy as shit.

I'm going to subscribe to Pocket PC Magazine.
I'll get a Best of Everything CD so I'll see if there's a backup program on that.

Frag, the movie newsgroup I gave you is good stuff. Enjoy it.

I never learned to properly encode movies for PPC, so I relied on that newsgroup.
