Anyone ever puts me on one of those things I'll haunt them for the rest of their lives.

If it was truly her intent not to live in a vegitative state, as her husband presumably would know, then I don't think others should interfere in his decision to let her die (as she would've intended).

Precisely. Me and my wife have an agreement on that. Niether one of us will stay on life support if there's significant brain damage and little hope of recovery. It'll be put into writing soon.
A good friend of mine had to go through that decision with her husband, my best friend, in '97. I knew that he wouldn't want it, and apparently so did she. The plug was pulled 2 days after he went in.

It's not that I'm pro- or anti-life, simply pro-choice on this issue.
I would personally like to be supported by all medical means as long as possible. All viable alternatives to the grave being explored.

Well, that's what I'm basically saying, it should be up to each individual/family to decide when it's time to shut it down. I don't feel like I have any right to tell anyone else when they should do that, same as anyone telling me when to do that. It's my choice and I think I could better determine when it should be instead of some doctor or outside family member, or whoever.

Different situations.
edit: If some fuckhead comes into my house and kills my family or someone in my family, either the state is going to kill him or I will.

There have been people to come out of a 'braindead' coma after decades.
I think somewhere between 17 and 30 years is the record. Someone look it up. Fags.

I don't care. If I am braindead fucking let me go. My wife says the same. What would be the point in living that long out of time. Seriously, I would rather be dead.

Except you're still in that cycle of idiocy believing in the REPUBLICAN vs. DEMOCRAT system. It's all fake, buddy. This is exactly how you're supposed to feel.
Realistically, where there is life there is always hope. I've seen too many Ripley's Believe it or Nots where a kid gets a shovel mashed through his head and came out of a coma a month later and then became a chess champion to say once science (a flawed religion) says I'm a goner, I'd accept that.

Yeah there's always the freak stories. But the majority of brain damage cases never make it. Ever. Realistically, your chances are next to nothing. Compare how many cases recovered to how many didn't. It's a false hope in most cases. BTW you're a dork.

The only person I remember doing this died shortly after they re-awoke anyway.

Letting her starve sounds a bit cruel though.
Kill her with poison I say.

ABC News has obtained a Republican memo saying that they should champion it to turn it into a political score pointing situation over the democrats.
Its funny watching the faux christian wanks outside praying. Would they be out there if they had to pay for her maintaince? Not fucking likely.

They won't actively euthanize her because of US law. They should though you're right, it seems preferrable to starving in most cases.

Woops... it looks like congress is trying to intervene. This will inevitably fail, but they're going to try anyway.
