Best internet setting

What are the best setting for playing quake 4 with CABLE ?
so far here what i have into my config, tell me if i'm wrong or its ok like that...

seta net_clientPredictGUI "0" //predict item/gui interaction, set to 0

What kinda cable? upload/download speeds will determine the settings.

OK sorry, its videotron from Montréal.
Last Result:
Download Speed: 4691 kbps (586.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 756 kbps (94.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

does the lagOmeter still lags when is set to 1 in the new 1.3?

The lagometer is a problem if SMP is enabled... same as before.

I just ask for a simple question, is those setting OK or need to be change ?
