C'mon guys. That was pretty good for 98. And it was in developement before that. I remember seeing screenshots as early as 96 or 97.

Yeah they did some pretty sweet stuff compared to what was available in 98. I'm just poking fun at how excited they are.

I bought my first PC in 98, it was an HP Celeron 366 and I popped a TNT2 Ultra in it. The video card was like 1/3 of the total cost
Guillemot. Wonder what happened to them, the damn french bastards...

Imagine the gameplay rammifications of being able to change an environment!
Looks more fun then than it is now.

ahah, don't be so bitter about Prey. You can't really believe it was
that horrible do you? I thought it was a pretty solid, fun and engaging game. And back then, in '98, the stuff they did in their engine was pretty amazing.

Step outside, it's a much better game plus the fps is capped at 120. You'll love "outside".

I hate that notebooks are still so ridiculously expensive. I'd buy a laptop instead of a desktop if they weren't twice as expensive

Hook up a monitor, mouse and keyboard and it's ideal, assuming the performance is adequate.

I think the thing about the vid that was amusing aside from them getting so excited was when they're said goodbye at the end then both still sat there uneasily for a couple of seconds waiting for the camera to go off.
"See ya soon"
"Yeah best of luck"

That's pretty cool. I guess we know now where they got the idea for that shitty spamming rocketlauncher in UT2004 from.

that ran quite nice, and it was suprising on the detail that was put into it.. and the primative "bloom" that they had in the engine also was very impresive to say the least..
So it took 8 years to come out with prey, and it seems to be doing good..
so the question is... simply put.. how long do we need to wait for "Rise of the Triad's 2"
Cmon, you cant say this isent Badass!
