The snes one's were a blast.
This one is being made by a dev team w/ only one puzzle game under thier belt... so iffy i am to say the least.

Mega drive MM2 was awesome.
They fucked it up when they went 3d though.
So it rests on whether they've got the balls to keep it 2d, and they don't.
It looks alright tho, but I wouldn't hold out for it being a classic like the first 2.
Half the gameplay dynamic on the first 2 games rested on not being able to see far ahead of the car, especially on the timed runs. That mechanic doesn't exist when the game's 3d and you're viewing behind the car.
