Athlon XPs

I was wondering if anyone knows a good, reputable place to get an AMD Athlon XP 3200+. Yes, the old Socket A. I have a Socket A PC and am wondering what the price of upgrading to the top of the Athlon XP ladder would cost.

Hummm, good luck...the Socket a's where phased out a wile back..

actually, scratch that... all the places that i have checked dont have them, and my local used parts places dont have any socket A's..
Your best bet is to call around locally and see if they carry used parts and if they have one.. if all else fails you might need to hit the ebay.
Gl dude.. .i was in your shoes about ~2 months ago.. i found a old Tbird though.

Similar situation myself, except, I've got a 1.0Ghz Thunderbird and have been looking for a Socket A motherboard.
The only ones I've been able to find that actually have a brand name I trust have been super featured ones that still cost over $50.
I just want to throw together a little computer for one of my sisters; I've got everything else needed. I suppose I could hit up eBay for an old Asus A7V333 or somthing. Or she may just have to watie untill the next time I upgrade. But seeing as I don't game all that much anymore, that may be a while.
Come back Socket A.

Looking for a decent mb for my 2200+ as well. It's looking grim. Hate to lose a good processor.

kinda the same for me...
i had 2 systems both with athlon 2000XP .. both motherboards died so i started looking for a new motherboard, i did actually find one, but once i looked in the shop i realised that if i was getting a new motherboard i might as well get a new cpu at the same time.
only issues im having now are
1. i havent chosen hardware for about 3yrs and cant remember what is good and what sucks
2. dunno if its worth anything but a shitty cpu with my old memory(1gb pc2700)
3. seems if i want AMD, then I have to get a new video card. no AGP slots on the boards i can find.
btw...once i get it working, anyone want an athlon 2000xp? no charge just pay the shipping

i got an asus a7v8x mx se for about $35 a few hours ago..
socket a.
I might get another tomorrow, as i have another semi-dead athlon system that might as well be working, if thats all it is gonna cost.

asus a7v8x-x here with socket A +2200. I like it. If you can get one they're worth it.
