did noone see this coming? it's no lie or common misconception that they would be killing civilians -- the 'terrorists' / iraqi resistance are using geurilla tactics because that's what works best in thier favour. this means for the troops that if they see a young girl walking down the road toward them, that she might need medical attention and is asking for help, she might be wanting to help them out or request assistance, or she could be strapped with explosives and ready to blow everyone away.
the US soldiers would have to second-guess everyone they see who isn't in american uniform; Which, in a country full of iraqis, is a lot. anyone could be out to get them.
on the flip side, the resistance is only fighting back because thier country has been forcefully invaded by people who have no cause or legit reason to fuck with them. they're pissed off and thier only option is to use these 'underhanded' tactics to lash out against the closest thing they have to thier enemy: the soldiers sent over by the U.S.
it's all a bit of a sad thing, but there's no turning back from it now.
