I know this has been asked before, sorry. But i;m gonna make a forum. i have the domain and im about to get the hosting. is that phpp still the best and easiest to use? i've only made them with templates before. and do i just make a folder called "forums" and up it all into that?

Did you mean phpbb? phpbb requires a database, MySQL is the default.

yeah, the host im gonna go with excepts that, it has that as a feature with the pack im gonna get. is it hard? do i just upload it and go?

If your host supports it, it might be as easy as clicking the "install phpbb forum" button in the contol panel or admin section of your site's config. That's all I had to do, other than customize the templates and css.

Yeah. If your site supports subdomains, you can use forums.whatever.com as well.

I use phpbb2 for my website's discussion board. Use phpwebhosting to host it.
Just picked up a php programming book today. Going to start playing around with php and mySQL on my own here and see if I can't set up some stuff that will streamline a few things we do at the school that require mountains of paperwork.

Mines taking forever...i put in an order 2 weeks ago, everything is almost ready to go, now they tell me about some DNS shit that I dont even know what that is. Im trying to make a forum for the people at work too
who did you get the webspace from? mines accu hosting and it is starting to become a pain in the ass. I cant even log in to anything even though they already sent me all the login names and passes
