Bought an Infrant ReadyNAS NV with my bonus. Time to load it with some Seagate 7200.10 320GB drives. :drool:

Let me get this straight, you can plug in your camera or a CF reader directly into that thing and transfer the data?

Sure, but that's kind of a silly use for it. I'm using it to weekly backup 3 desktops + 1 laptop + my website and databases. I will also store my photos/music/videos on it.

So basically this dosen't need an OS, just basically connected into a router?

Well, it's running Linux, but yeah you just plug it into a router/switch/hub and it's accessible from any computer on your network. Plus you can forward ports and use it's FTP server from anywhere external.

Ah i see. It's nice that it's truly hot swappable.
Plus with all the photos you take, it's a worth while investment.
For me, it would be nice, but it'd just be overkill.
