For the last few days, my throat has been sore on and off. It came on gradually and then went away after a day, then the next day came back. I figured it was just a run-of-the-mill sore throat at first, but it doesn't come with any other symptoms. It doesn't hurt to talk or eat, it's just when I swallow or move my head in certain ways. And today I noticed that my throat only hurts in one distinct area, focused on the right side of my throat about 2 inches below the adam's apple. It's not a scratchy or sharp pain; more like a dull, sore pain.

I immediately thought of worst-case scenario being throat cancer, which I know it isn't since I don't smoke or anything and I'm only 22, but I'm paranoid like that.
The only changes in my daily routine that I can think of is the fact that I've been taking an antihistamine for a week or so, but this doesn't seem like your typical side effect. So I guess I was wondering if anyone had any insight to provide before I go visit the doctor (I've already scheduled an appointment).

Yea, I just went and looked up the common side effects of the one I'm taking and it mentioned "difficulty breathing or closing of the throat" as some of the serious side effects that would prompt disuse. If this gets worse, I'll stop taking it.

Maybe your thyroids?
