Went to the 1/8 mile strip :D

this was my first time drag racing.. ever... and I don't think I did too bad. This was at the 1/8 mile Sunshine Dragstrip in St. Petersburg florida, and they had just refinished the surface so it was a bit slick. Mods are: C&L intake, brenspeed 93octane tune, and borla catback. When I get the headers, 3.73, and aluminum driveshaft in, I expect to see some much better times.
The first run was the best one as far as et goes, it was an 8.839 at 82.12mph. r/t: 1.067, 60': 2.151 On that one there was almost NO tire spin on 35psi.
The second run i was going to not go through the water pit, but the center was closed off so i had to. I had dropped the psi to 15 but i think that was waaay too low. I couldnt remember whether it was 15 or 25 was the right amount. Anyways I spun through first and half of second for an et of 9.156 at 81.33mph, 60': 2.331
third run, the same thing happened. 9.066 at 81.85mph, 60': 2.297
and the fourth and final run was the same thing AGAIN. 9.046et at 81.55, 60': 2.277
The only thing that did improve was the reaction time, as i got more and more used to it i was trying to push the limit more. Next time i go i'll be trying to redlight to see how close i can get.
The time were (in order):
1.067
.954
.881
.827
On the plus plus side i didn't lose to anyone lol
Tomorrow I am going to bradenton to run the 1/4, and see what happens there.
