how long does a bruise last?

I've made a thread about how I hit my right knee on a wall some time ago that dark metal locked for no reason. It's been two months now and my knee is still feels funny and it feels funny when I extend leg in the morning and stuff. When I extend my right leg I can hear and feel a crack with my hand in the kneecap area.
Is this normal after 2 months or should I go see a doctor now?

truthfully, that sound a bit too long for a bruise to heal. just go to a doctor if you're not sure... better than posting here.

If you think you need to go to a doc, you probably should. it would probably take all of 15 minutes for them to order the xray, tell you to take some ibuprofen, and call you later to tell you that the x-ray shows nothing.

No no, Dr.Gibaholic can diagnose this. Try hitting it with a sledge hammer and see what happens, then tell me what happened.

okay its decided, im gonna go to the walk-in clinic tomorrow. i'm excited.
