Quake3World

I'm feeling the need to absorb myself into a good single player RPG for a while, I refuse to get WoW or Guildwars, because I don't really want to fail my degree.

I don't want to have to scroll through reems and reems of text, and I also hate the "go to zarathana and pick up the zaratunu to give to zarathena so that he will tell you where to get the zerethena key to open the zunethea box so that you can get the book of zuthanea to call the demon of zarathaa" ala morrowind, which I really hated, just loads of pointless quests which led nowhere. I'm tempted to install Gothic II again, because I really enjoyed that, but i know i'll get tired of it, same with Neverwinter Nights.

Any reccomendations?

Well, I kinda liked Final Fantasy 4.

PC or Console?

On the PC, you'll have Oblivion 13 days from now which will probably fix most of Morrowind's problems.

On consoles, Dragon Quest VIII is awesome. Kingdom Hearts 2 is coming out in a few weeks as well (if that counts as an RPG).

I hear Baldur's Gate II is pretty good.

wasnt it that the US version of FF3 was FF6 in Japan?

well yeah cant go wrong with a FF title, unless of course you choose that tripe that was number 8.

Jesus Christ, this game looks ace. I always hated the "cartoon-ines" of WoW; this game is what I'm looking for. I am so buying this. :icon28:
