MSN down?

It was working until I updated it to the latest version, and now I can't connect.
http://status.messenger.msn.com/ isn't working either.
If you're online, try logging out and back in again if you don't mind.

Ah its alive again. I made the mistake of uninstalling it with the apatch mods still active. Gonna delete everything (inc reg keys) and do a clean install. thx guys.

ah, thank god for apatch... its scary just how much junk microsoft put in this program. now i'm back to my ultra-slick minimal interface.... yummy.

My msn's still down... And i cant get rid of the tabs with A-Patch, am i being blind? Wahts the button called to remove it? (Its probable "remove tabs" but i AM a dumb ass)

Getting rid of MSN Messenger Tabs:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > MSNMessenger > PerPassportSettings > All#Keys
Add following:
DWord "DisableTabs", value "1"

i use the
http://www.mess.be patch, which gets rid of 90% of the chaff that msn add to messenger.
