I get good at the game and have a fair amount of knowledge. But there's too much one hit kill weapon bullshit. I'll be bunnying around and some noob standing still will shoot a table at me and OOPS I DIED LOL. As soon as I get a better pc I'm switching to Quake 4.

a table? those things are made of balsa wood in SP. i'd have thought it would take at least a toilet bowl to take out a player...

You might be putting too much significance behind dying a single time. Dying in the game doesn't matter at all. It's ensuring that your total number of kills is higher than any enemy in the game that counts.
Point being, so what if you get taken out all of a sudden?

Another thing is you said you where "bunnying" around. If I catch anyone jumping in that game, I aim for them first. Jumping makes you an easy target.

Love this game. There's a LAN on campus here that has it (York U, Toronto) and I've spend a lot of time and money, mostly 1v1ing with a friend.
When you spawn right next to your opponent who has the rocket launcher, at least you have a fighting chance, if you can grab a radiator.
Favourite custom maps are Bella's Room Deluxe and dm_projects.
Anyone know the name of a map where there's a rocket launcher in an attic room and to get in you have to go up this platform on pulleys?

There are many metal tables in DM
Big metal tables at that. I know because I completely barricade up staircases with them :icon32:
you mean I barricade and you make a runner for the rocket launcher ?
or, or, barricade ourselves in a room for 2 hrs whilst picking off the poor sod running by ?

I never got into HL2:DM, too chaotic for my taste.
