This is some of the shottiest journalism I've ever seen.

lol. breaking news - not being a shitty parent is a good thing.

was only one comment, but what that doctor guy mentioned about college kids not knowing how to socialise sounded interesting - if he's got anything that could definitely tie it to game-playing rather than typical teenage moroseness.

as gamers ourselves we tend to laugh when we see perspectives like these, but I suspect there's a lot of truth to them.

these games are incredibly powerful stimuli which allow for some intense experiences on demand.

That in itself isn't necessarily a good or bad thing - but it's a powerful thing which has potential for harm (or good).

well you're saying video games are an experience that kids didn't have a long time ago and that it influences them somewhat but then again back in the good ole days when ripe of age meant 12 experiences were thought of as a little different I imagine if you get my meaning. When the big hand touches the little hand it's bedtime daddy!

Just leave the Quake3world please, it's too obvious you didn't get enough attention when you were little. Possibly a reason why you're stupid and smoke crack/acid/whatever it is that you do.

This may be the stupidest, least coherent thing you've ever posted.

That's a 54 word sentence Kracus just posted.
He's writing the fucking Tale of Two Cities.

And that's quite a feat in itself.

It seemed to me like the 3 kids in that interview were communicating just fine with each other while they played. The other day I was playing a game with my brother and we were talking constantly throughout the evening.

And with the addition of microphones people communicate even more during net play.

That's a good point. :icon14:
Not to mention clan/guild-oriented games.

This posting-when-you're-stoned thing isn't really working out for you, is it.

I can't remember where I heard this from so don't take it to seriously, but I heard that the reason why most people play fps games is that it's a subsitute for our hunting instinct, or something like that.

Humans don't have a hunting instinct.
