I'm trying to connect to a quake 2 server and i have a message that say;
Local map version differs from server !!!
the map is q2dm1: the edge
that map is include into the game, i dont understand...

i think the server run the mod OSP, is it possible ?
If thats the problem, do someone have a link where i can download the mod?

the problem is that quake4 requires you to have exactly the same maps on your local hdd that the server has, even though the current map isnt custom.
great feature indeed
[edit] how the fuck did i misread II for "4" multiple times?

lots of times those fileplanet links show up dead or not found, but they are there. try hitting refersh or back then forward it should show up. Scroll down the page for the free server downloads.
